The orange side holds the foam and lifts the dirt from car paint, minimizing the chance of swirls and wax scratches. The gray side can be used over the washed part to spread the SiO2 booster evenly. High-quality wash glove Washing gloves are an essential part of every wash. Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic Wash Mitt has long fibers to pick up contaminants and a plush side to apply a booster, sealant, wax or detailer. How do I use Meguiar's Hybrid Wash Mitt? Run the car wash mitt through a filled bucket a few times and wring it out. Wash the vehicle with the orange side. Turn around and go over the same area with the gray side again. The washing glove can be washed in the washing machine. Do not use fabric softener as this will clog the microfibres and reduce performance. Always wash with similar cloths (not cotton) to maintain proper dirt repellent properties. Optional: Add 1/4 cup white distilled vinegar to increase softness.
